In 2003, Gordon and Maria Morrow, upon realizing the need for homeschool sports in North Houston and with the encouragement of several friends, started the Sports Association of Texas for Christian Homeschoolers, commonly known as SATCH. The Mavericks mascot was adopted, and SATCH began its first season with three teams in basketball.
Since 2003, SATCH has fielded basketball, volleyball, football, baseball, and softball teams.
Currently, SATCH offers competitive boys and girls basketball, girls volleyball, and boys and girls golf.
Annually, SATCH provides competitive amateur youth sports to approximately 150 homeschooled athletes and facilitates hundreds of events every year, including games, practices, tournaments, social events, and fundraisers.
SATCH is a 501(c)3 organization.
